Brick Lane '78

Shakespeare Shoptok
The selective parts from seven plays of William Shakespeare performed by the theatre students at Dhaka University at the British Council library, meeting room, auditorium, and an open yard simultaneously for consecutive two evenings. The venture was part of ShakespeareLives program in 2016.

Dokkhina Sundari
The devised play produced in response to the deforestation and government plan of a coal power plant at the nearest region to the World’s largest mangrove forest named ‘Sundarbans’. The play was premiered at ‘Tin Forest Festival’ as part of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games cultural festival in 2014. The play was produced by TheatrEX Bangladesh and supported by Janata Bank Ltd., British Council and National Theatre of Scotland. Kokilara - a monologue written by Abdullah Al Mamun, performed by Ferdausi Majumder that is considered as the first monologue of the urban theatre practice since the Independence of Bangladesh. The monologue was first premiered in 1976.
